As the Woodson County Road & Bridge Department, our goal is to regularly evaluate the conditions of the county roads & bridges and make the necessary modifications to assure a safe and passable travel at all times, while promoting a safe working environment for all department employees. Along with road maintenance, our department documents & maintains the records for the county roads, bridges & vehicles; in addition, we are in charge of mowing county ditches & maintaining the county road signs.
Help from the public is always appreciated. DUST CONTROL PROGRAM FOR RURAL AREAS
Woodson County Road & Bridge Department is now taking orders for the application of “Dust Control” applied to county roads for the purpose of dust control. This will be for County residents at the cost of $1.60 per foot with a minimum of 300’ and additional footage is available. Fee is to be paid in full prior to application; deadline to order is April 12, 2024, by 3:00 p.m. If interested, please contact the Road & Bridge Department Office for more information or to pick up an application at (620) 625-8625. You may also print the application from the newspaper and return it the Road & Bridge Department at the courthouse with your payment in full.
