Requirements:
Renewals: (Driver's License & ID Cards) current DL or ID Card, proof of physical address, vision test (for Driver's License)
Address Changes: proof of physical address, current DL; or No Charge Address change (form filled out in office)
Learner's permits: signed parental consent, a written test or Driver's Education completion form, vision test, (2)proof of physical address, Certified Birth Certificate, and Social Security Card
Restricted licenses: Driver's Education completion, proof of physical address and Learner's permit. For answers on commonly asked questions for teen driving click here

Real ID Conversion: Current DL or ID Card, proof of physical address, vision test (for DL), Certified Birth Certificate (will not accept billfold cards or Hospital Certificates) or unexpired US Passport and proof of social security number in the form of the social security card, current W2 form or current 1099 form with full social security number listed. If your name has changed since birth we have to have proof of name change in the form of a certified marriage license, divorce decree, legal adoption paperwork or court ordered name change documents.
Please remember to bring proper proof of identification and proof of current address to change your driver's license. If you have lost your license and do not have a recently expired one (within a year of expiration) please bring two forms of ID and proof of physical address. Note: This office is not a full service driver's license station. Original driver's license, commercial driver's license, reinstatements, and some other special considerations must be provided by a full service Kansas Drivers License Station.

- • Real ID conversion on a current Driver's License or ID Card is $12.00 ($8.00 photo fee and $4.00 Local Fee)
- • Update Address on Driver's License, ID Card, or Learner's Permit is $12.00 ($8.00 photo fee and $4.00 Local Fee)
- • Name change on any ID card, Driver's License, or Learner's Permit is $20.00 ($8.00 license fee plus the $8.00 photo fee and a $4.00 local fee)
- • Replacement fee for ID card, Driver's License, or Learner's Permit is $20.00 ($8.00 license fee plus the $8.00 photo fee and a $4.00 local fee)
- • $1.00 late charge if license is expired
- • We cannot renew a Driver's License if expired over 6 months-must be processed at a full service station.
- • If expired over 1 year driving test will be required-must be done at full service station.

Effective August 1, 2017, the State of Kansas completed the final piece of REAL ID compliance. State of Kansas residents will have the option for a REAL ID card with the star (below left), or a Non-Real ID card with the language "Not for Federal ID" (below right).
Kansas Residents will be able to use both forms of the DL/ID below and current DL/ID with no identifier until October 1, 2021 in airports and federal facilities. KS Dept of Revenue is starting this now to allow Kansas Residents time before the October 1, 2021 deadline.
To receive a license with the star please bring a valid US Passport or Birth Certificate and proof of Social Security. If your name is not the same on all your documents, you will need to provide the document proving your legal name change, ie. Marriage License, Divorce Decree, Adoption Record.
